Tour Description:
FOOD & WINE Italy attracts for many reasons: culture, traditions, scenic views, warm hospitality of its inhabitants and the delicious local “cuisine”. This tour will give you the possibility of getting closer to the Italian cooking traditions. You will learn how easy it is to prepare very good Italian dishes. Our chef will prepare recipes that have been handed down over the centuries such us “Scialatielli” (home made pasta), local antipasti and cakes. Every dish will be prepared using traditional and genuine ingredients such as local “extra-vergine” oil, local cherry tomatoes, fresh cheese. You will take home many secrets, that you can use back home in your kitchen and be proud of yourself when you prepare an excellent Italian dinner for your friends. Our cooking tour will been enriched by some interesting excursions such as Wine Tour, Pompeii and more…
 
Tour details:
Day 1 - ARRIVAL
Arrival at your hotel located in the Sorrento Peninsula. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 2 - MASSA LUBRENSE - 1ST COOKING LESSON (Italian Antipasti)
In the morning, meeting at the Hotel with your tour escort and briefing. Departure by private mini bus discovering the beautiful area of Massa Lubrense, visit a local lemon garden and a factory where you will see how the famous “limoncello liqueur” is produced and enjoy a delightful light lunch. In the afternoon you will learn how to make “Italian Antipasti” that you will eat at dinner time.
Day 3 - MORNING AT LEISURE - 2nd cooking lesson (Home made pasta)
In the afternoon, meeting at the Hotel with your tour escort. Today you will learn how to make home made pasta, that you will enjoy at dinner time.
Day 4 - WINE TASTING IN BENEVENTO
In the morning, meeting at the Hotel with your tour escort and departure by private minibus to the province of Benevento, known as being the best wine producing area in our region. Lunch will be served in a local wine Factory. Dinner in Hotel.
Day 5 - DAY AT LEISURE
Optional excursion: We suggest the visit of the Island of CAPRI. Dinner in Hotel.
Day 6 - POMPEII & 3RD COOKING LESSON (Fish course)
In the morning, meeting at the Hotel with your tour escort and departure by minibus to visit one of the most amazing archaeological sites in the world: Pompeii. Here you will feel as if you have stepped back 2000 years to the time of the Romans. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon you will learn how to cook the local fresh fish. Dinner in Hotel.
Day 7 - MASSA LUBRENSE & 4TH COOKING LESSON (Dessert course)In the morning, meeting at the Hotel with your tour escort and visit of a local “Agriturismo” where you will taste local olive oil and enjoy a typical lunch. The area of Massa Lubrense is included in the list of the Italian cities famous for the good quality of the olive oil; the whole area is surrounded by olive trees. In the afternoon you will learn how to make a delicious Neapolitan cake. Dinner in Hotel.
Day 8 - DEPARTURE
After breakfast, end of the services.
